Phil Crean

Born in Dublin in 1959, Phil Crean studied at the London College of Printing in the 1980s before embarking on a freelance career in London. In 1994, he relocated to Tenerife, where his diverse photographic practice encompasses commercial assignments, workshops, and self-initiated projects spanning documentary, landscape, and abstract themes. Recently, he has been exploring self-portraiture.
His work has been featured in various exhibitions, including the Atlántica Colectivas section of Fotonoviembre 2013, and the VI Certamen de Fotografía Informativa y Documental in 2015. He participated in the group shows TenDiez in 2015 and 2016, and presented a solo exhibition titled "Representación de la Pasión de Adeje" in 2017. Notable recent exhibitions include "Multiple Exposures" in 2022, "Abstract Works" in 2023, and "Seascapes" scheduled for 2024. He was also shortlisted for the AIB National Gallery of Ireland Portrait competition in 2024, with the exhibition opening on November 9th.
