Jackie Askew is a contemporary artist based in County Clare, Ireland, known for her participation in exhibitions both nationally and internationally. She has held artist residencies in Ireland, Iceland, and Spain, with her work featured in public collections such as The Office of Public Works and Meath County Council, as well as private collections worldwide. Recent exhibitions include the 2024 APT Open Studios in Deptford, London, and the 2023 Winter Group Show at Linden Hall Studio, U.K.
Jackie has received notable awards, including the 2024 Culture Moves Europe Award and the Arts Council of Ireland's Agility Award. Her recent work focuses on intimate scales, incorporating collage, paint, and soft chalk pastels on paper. These pieces often emerge from the destruction and reassembly of previous works, exploring color, space, and structure.
